The Last Brachiosaur
Private commission
It has been forty days since the sun last fell to the sound of singing brachiosaurs. For several weeks she sang alone hoping for a reply from another of her kind, but none came. Now, like her elderly frame, her will is broken and beneath the setting Cretaceous sun she awaits her fate. The silhouette of her massive but graceful neck lowers as sleep approaches. Following this night, never again will a Brachiosaurus shadow be cast upon the Earth.

Big Cretaceous
British Antarctic Survey
Antarctica during the Cretaceous was a very different place to what it is today. From a hilltop overlooking a river we can see it is a green environment comprised of Larches, Sitka Spruce, Norway Spruce, Bald Cypress, Yew, and Gingko trees. There are also Juniper bushes, ferns, cycads, horsetails, and lichens.

The Duel
Quarto Children's Books
It is the time of year when male Pachycephalosaurus fight for dominance and the right to mate with females. Most battles are decided before violence, using aggressive dancing and bellowing, but when two males are equally matched they resort to head strikes. Their elaborate skulls are predominantly used for display but when necessary they become dangerous battering rams thrust into an opponent’s torso.

The Great and the Dead
Private commission
Beneath the shade of a nearby conifer tree lays the dried remains of a half eaten sauropod. The ribs bend upward and inward as silhouettes across a clear, Late Jurassic sky. Suddenly, without warning a young male Allosaurus fragilis charges by, his jaws agape. A battle ensues and, within the hour, a second carcass lies beneath the ancient conifer.
